Do you find yourself adhering to or following rules, regulations and or guidelines set by someone else?

Just to be clear, I am only referring to those rules, regulations and or guidelines that go against your beliefs, who you are or what you stand for. How does that make you feel?

In other words, are you conforming to something that you don’t necessarily believe in?

My question to you is, what is it going to take for you to distance yourself from that behavior and stop conforming to someone else’s rules, regulations or guidelines? I am well aware that we can’t just expect to do whatever we want whenever we want, however, I do believe we can be more selective and choose to confirm to those things that are more aligned with our purpose or things that we choose to do. Much like many of you, I am still working on this portion of my life, so I can attest to how difficult this is, so for me this remains a work in progress.

Although I struggle with this, I still encourage you to take a long hard look at what you have attached yourself to and make sure it matches who you are and what you stand for, not knowing who, what or why you are attached to something could prove to be detrimental to your well-being. What are your thoughts on conforming to something that you don’t believe in?
